Description

Did a Large Dinosaur Species Live Through the Great Extinction?

Scientists have known that most dinosaur species went extinct about 65 million years ago in the Cretaceous era, but did all of the large dinosaurs disappear? Like the coelacanth, perhaps a megasaur lived much longer than previously thought. The possibility remains that a species of large dinosaur lived into the Miocene era, 20 million years ago, but no evidence has been found to date. Join our expedition team as we search the South Puget Sound region in an effort to be the next to discover rare megasaur fossils. Do you have a sharp eye, good puzzle solving skills and a curious mind? Then you are the perfect fit for our exploration team!  Join your fellow fossil hunters as we attempt to make history by:

  •   Identifying signs of animal activity
  •   Understanding how fossils are made
  •   Making your own fossil
  •   Learning how to uncover artifacts safely
  •   Taking a journey through geologic time!
